Do flowers captivate you? Do they call you to come close and admire them? Do they inspire you to create gardens in your homes just for the joy of it? Or do they inspire you to go and visit places that cultivate their uniqueness, and teach about their importance? I know flowers do this for me, and I hope it is the same for you.
This summer, I finally was able to go to the St Louis Botanical Gardens. This is a place filled with the wonders that the earth brings forth in the form of flowers. With the help of caretakes, who are committed to tending to the many varied plants, makes this place feel magical. As I meandered through the gardens, I was mesmerized by the diversity of species, each bringing a sense of beauty, and making me feel as if I were in a fairyland surrounded by enchanting flowers.
What is this magic that flowers have? Their simple existence has such a WOW factor. Beside their array of colors, floral scents, unique form and textures, there is a radiance that personally cause my heart to sing for joy when I encounter their beauty. I think I am not alone in this feeling; I truly believe that they bring a senses happiness to so many.
Flowers have been my models for the creative landscapes that I love to portray. It is my way of expressing the radiant beauty they possess. Passionately, I spend many hours trying to capture their likeness artistically. I think it is because, I want to hold on to their fleeting beauty a little longer.
