The Woodland Gathering

A mixed-media textile work that captures the quiet beauty and hidden wonders of the woodland floor, where a cluster of mushrooms rises from a richly textured landscape. The mushrooms, created from fabric shaped with a molding stabilizer, have a sculptural, dimensional quality that allows them to emerge naturally from their surroundings. Warm shades of rust, orange, and cream stand out against earthy browns and deep greens, while tiny plants, grasses, and scattered forest details create texture and the feeling of a miniature world waiting to be discovered. Subtle touches of paint and mixed-media elements enrich the mushrooms, forest floor, and softly atmospheric background with depth and tonal variation, resulting in a piece that feels earthy, intimate, and quietly magical.
