The Garden’s Welcome

A mixed-media textile work that celebrates the vibrant beauty and abundance of a summer garden, where graceful coneflowers, tall purple blossoms, and delicate wildflowers rendered in silk ribbon rise in dimensional layers from a softly painted fabric background. Shades of pink, lavender, purple, cream, and blue mingle among rich green foliage, creating a lush tapestry of color and texture. The taller blooms bring height and graceful movement to the composition, while clusters of smaller blue and white flowers weave through the foreground, adding depth, contrast, and intricate detail. Subtle touches of paint and mixed-media elements enrich the flowers, foliage, and atmospheric background with depth and tonal variation, resulting in a piece that feels vibrant, joyful, and alive with the natural beauty and gentle rhythm of a flourishing garden.
