Living Reef – Quilt

Hand embroidered embellishments depict a variety of coral and underwater plants and fish using painted silk ribbon, specialty threads, lace and an assortment of beads.  Stitched on a painted fabric and cheesecloth using acrylic paints, pastels, and oil pastels.  Hand painted fabric fish with acrylics and stabilized with a molding stabilizer.  Each reef has its own character and charm.
